NPAS operates under a strict set of guidelines which have been put in place to ensure the safety of the pilots as well as the people of Altis. NPAS duties comprise of various tasks from transporting officers around the island, prisoner transportation, air support in operations to neutralizing hostile aircrafts.

Ranking Structure

NPAS has its very own rank structure just like any other unit within the Police Force, these ranks are available for any member of NPAS who shows that they are capable to carry their weight. This means that not every member of NPAS has one of the ranks listed below as this is where their tier structure comes in place

Rank Notes
CNPAS CNPAS stands for Chief of National Police Air Service. The CNPAS’ job is to overlook the entirety of NPAS, making sure that it is where is needs to be. The CNPAS also goes to the Police Board Meeting, to relay new Ideas and concerns from everyone in NPAS to the Police Board. If you have any good new ideas related to NPAS, please pass them down to CNPAS.
DNPAS The DNPAS (Deputy of National Police Air Service) is the right hand man of the CNPAS. They assist the CNPAS is making decisions for NPAS, and can also attend board meeting in the place of the CNPAS. Its DNPAS’s job to substitute CNPAS everywhere and act as the front image of NPAS when CNPAS is not available.
CFI CFI’s are Certified Flight Instructors. They are here to make sure that every NPAS member are trained to their fullest potential and up to standards of NPAS.

Tier Structure

As mentioned above NPAS works with Tiers as well as ranks these tiers identify what kind of assets the pilot is allowed to use and what tests he or she can do to gain more assets like the Taru,Blackfish and Ghosthawk. The tier structure goes up from tier 1 to tier 3 all of the tiers are listed below

Our Fleet

Due to the major role the National Police Air Service has within the Altis Police Service an major fleet would be expected, listed below is the entire fleet of NPAS including its unmanned drone.

Every pilot within NPAS is trained to use these assets to the best of their ability and bring them all to good use

Name Image Notes
I-99
I99.jpg
This is our Hellcat (Codename India-99). This helicopter is used for surveillance, with a 35x zoom and Thermal Imaging Camera,no one has the ability to hide; Used for missing persons, vehicular pursuits and general air support.this helicopter is a great asset to the Altis Police Force. We have three Hellcats in NPAS.
WA-99
WA-99.jpg
A more nimble aircraft, the (Whiskey Alpha 900) is the go to choice for getting to positions quickly. E.g. Rapid response is needed at the heroin field to apprehend 2 suspects and bring them back for questioning. Also can be used for smaller surveillance operations as well. We have three M-900s.
AR-2 DARTER
Darter.png
With a similar thermal imaging camera to (I-99) this quadcopter is a force to be reckoned with. While this drone is a great machine it is also very weak so it must stay out of sight at all times.
MH-9
MH 9 police.jpg
(Mike Hotel-9) is only used for insertion and extraction. E.g. Troops need placed near a treasury robbery in progress. The two benches have four more seats than the M-900, and is also easier to maneuver than the M-900. We have three MH-9s in NPAS.
Taru Transport
Taru.jpg
The Mi-290 Taru is a heavy utility helicopter with coaxial rotors and a unique modular construction. Various mission pods allow the Taru to serve many different roles. It can transport cargo, and police. We have three taru’s, One bench, one transport and one sling variant.

Taru with a transport pod offers more protection for crew, but sacrifices utility in way that only men at back at the pod can shoot out from helicopter.

Taru Bench
Taru Bench.jpg
The Mi-290 Taru is a heavy utility helicopter with coaxial rotors and a unique modular construction. Various mission pods allow the Taru to serve many different roles. It can transport cargo, and police. We have three taru’s, One bench, one transport and one sling variant.

Taru with a bench pod offers less protection than Transport, but gives more utility for the crew. Everyone on the bench can shoot out from the helicopter thus giving really good way to shoot tires on moving vehicles.

Taru Sling
Taru Sling.jpg
The Mi-290 Taru is a heavy utility helicopter with coaxial rotors and a unique modular construction. Various mission pods allow the Taru to serve many different roles. It can transport cargo, and police. We have three Taru’s, One bench, one transport and one sling variant.

Taru with a sling provides protection to the crew while being able to sling every police vehicle available. However, this sacrifices any form of infantry transport.

Ghosthawk
Ghosthawk.jpg
This is the GhostHawk. It’s classed as a Utility response helicopter It is equipped with 2x 6.5 gatling guns mounted on each side of the helicopter. Originally the GhostHawk was designed for Air to Ground attacks but used in NPAS for Air to Air. We have one GhostHawk.
Blackfish
Blackfish.png
This is our Blackfish. The Blackfish is only used in operations or coalition with specialized units. The main use would be the transport of units or vehicles due to its unique ability to para-drop large numbers of infantry or heavy vehicles. The Blackfish is also armed with a 35x zoom thermal camera operated by the co-pilot.

Who can join NPAS?

NPAS is a specialised unit, it is intended for those who have shown excellent handling abilities of a helicopter in a variety of different situations. Furthermore, all pilots are required to conduct a series of tests during the initial training as well as improving upon their skills and capabilities handling the entire arsenal of aircraft.

NPAS Training

The initial Non-NPAS India-99 training covers the basics for officers within the Altis Police Force who wishes to pursue a career within the highly respected air division; NPAS. Once the pilot is ready to further their training they will take the Entry Test. Only a few pilots have the required piloting skills to pass the entry test and begin their journey as an NPAS Pilot. The remaining training is confidential.
