The Mi-290 Taru was designed for operation by CSAT as a heavy-lift transport helicopter. The vast majority of these air frames were taken away by CSAT after they left the island, however, some older models have been illegal imported onto the island by the dealer known as "Con Air". As these air frames have not passed the rigorous air safety standards they are considered highly illegal by the Altis Police Service. The only exception being the Medical Variant which was imported specifically by the National Health Service

Design
The Taru features 2 Coaxial rotors removing the need for a tail rotor allowing all its power to be dedicated towards stability and lifting. Using a unique modular design, the Taru is able to connect different "Pods" to alter its role.
Features
- Armouring across the air frame
- Countermeasure launchers
- Large passenger / Cargo section
Notable Traits

Mobility
- The Taru is much more stable due to its rotor design
- Due to the large air frame it is considerably less manoeuvrable than other helicopters.
Crew Capacity
- The Taru Transport can carry a maximum of 19 people - 3 Crew and 16 Passengers
- The Taru Bench can carry a maximum of 11 People - 3 Crew and 8 Passengers
- The Taru Fuel can carry a maximum of 3 People - 3 Crew only.
Upgrades
Upgrades can be bought from the Aerial Mod Shop. The Taru Supports:
