The Mi-290 Taru was designed for operation by CSAT as a heavy-lift transport helicopter. The vast majority of these air frames were taken away by CSAT after they left the island, however, some older models have been illegal imported onto the island by the dealer known as "Con Air". As these air frames have not passed the rigorous air safety standards they are considered highly illegal by the Altis Police Service. The only exception being the Medical Variant which was imported specifically by the National Health Service
