Q. HOW DO I EARN MONEY?
A. A quick Starter Guide is available on the many jobs you can undertake.
Q. HOW DO I CONNECT TO THE SERVER?
A. Search for the name Roleplay.co.uk or the code xaamj5 in your server browser and the server should show up.
Q. I AM HAVING TECHNICAL ISSUES, WHAT DO I DO?
A. Go to the Help and Support header on our Starter Guide page for fixes to common issues. If your problem isn't addressed or the fix doesn't work you can post a question/bug report on the forums or open a support ticket on Discord.
Q. IS THE SERVER WHITELISTED?
A. No, We have a serious roleplay ruleset and an extremely active staff team to keep our server clean, We love that our server is accessible to the entire GTA community without paywalls or slow application processes.
Q. WHAT IS ROLEPLAY.CO.UK?
A. We are a serious roleplay community that has been around for 7 years, originally starting out with Arma 3 Altis Life. After maintaining a large presence within the Arma game scene and after listening to community feedback, we have expanded into GTA RP. There are over 62,000 registered members in our community from around the world with this number growing daily. We are discord partnered and teamspeak sponsored and always striving to give our members a fantastic experience.
Q. WHY A UK THEME?
A. We were the first UK themed server on Altis Life and it is what our player base has grown to love and enjoy so we are proud to bring this to the streets of Los Santos.
Q. WHAT FEATURES DOES THE SERVER HAVE?
A. You can view our current features through the GTA Main Page. We have an active development team and our server is always under development. We encourage our community to feedback their ideas via our forums for our developers to implement in the weekly update.
Q. DO I NEED A 3RD PARTY PLUGIN (DISCORDVOIP, TOKOVOIP) TO PLAY?
A. No, we use the integrated mumble client which is built into your FiveM client by default in order to replicate 3D sound, positional and distance. Same effect and functionality as the 3rd party plugins, just more accessible.
Q. CAN I USE A CLIENT SIDE MODIFICATION?
A. No, unfortunately because of how we envision our server economy and server direction we do not support the use of client side modifications such as menus, and injectors. However if you feel the community would benefit from something found within a menu to enhance the roleplay and character progression. Post the suggestion on our forums!
Q. CAN I USE GRAPHIC ENHANCING MODS?
A. Yes, the only modification we allow - however we will not offer support if you break your game, can't see ELS lights, etc...
Q. HOW DO I CHECK MY ID NUMBERS?
A. There are two types of ID: SessionID (your ID for that restart cycle) and your fixed CharacterID (one per character you create).
To check SessionID look in the top left, or press Escape. (you use this to give money / keys / items to other players)
To check your CharacterID use the character selection screen info boxes, or 'Show ID' ingame using CAPS. (you use this to apply for whitelisted groups)
Q. HOW DO I CHECK SOMEONE ELSE HIS SESSION ID?
A. A keybind can be made in order to toggle ID's above other players heads this can be done by going to:
Settings > Key Bindings > FiveM > Player ID Check (rpuk_core) > whatever key you want to bind it to.
Do take in mind that abuse of this function can lead to being banned from the server.
Q. HOW DO I JOIN THE POLICE / NHS / LOST MC?
A. Visit the respective pages along the left-hand sidebar of the wiki to learn more about each factions recruitment process
Joining The Server - FiveM Queue
It is vital that you restart your FiveM before you join the server, even after a server restart. Failing to do so, your client may not load properly and you may have to re-queue.
Q. WHY DOES MY POSITION KEEP GOING UP?
A. Certain members of the community have priority in the queue system. This includes Staff members, Developers, members of whitelisted groups and people reconnecting within 5 minutes of leaving the server.
Q. HOW DO I GET PRIORITY?
A. Automatic priority queue is granted to staff members and to any player 5-minutes after they disconnect (excluding restarts); this enables you to re-join after a crash, or to switch character without re-queuing.
Permanent priority queue is not obtainable through other means.
When the server is busy, certain whitelisted roles are able to request queue one-time bumps using the #gta-queue-bump channel on Discord, or are given the option when they pick the role they wish to play as when connecting to the server. Please ensure you read the pinned message in that channel before doing so.
Q. THE TIME ON THE QUEUE SCREEN HAS FROZEN - WHY?
A. This means your connection to the server has timed out for some reason and means you are no longer in the queue. It is rare this happens, but if it does you will need to reconnect, unfortunately.
Q. I HAVE GOT TO THE END OF THE QUEUE, BUT IT SAYS 'CONNECTING TO SERVER' - WHAT DO I DO?
A. This can often occur after you have downloaded new files as part of an update or when you have first connected to the server. If you see 'Connecting to Server' for more than 30 seconds, you probably will not progress further. This suggests you have lost connection to the FiveM server and you will need to close FiveM and reconnect. If you are quick enough, you can sometimes be fortunate to be given priority for connecting with 5 minutes but the outcome of this can vary.
Q. I NEED TO RECONNECT, DO I HAVE TO WAIT IN THE QUEUE?
A. No, if you re-join the server within 5 minutes of disconnecting, you are granted priority in the queue.
Q. WHY DOES MY FIVEM RESTART WHEN I TRY TO CONNECT?
A. The server enforces a gamebuild different to that of normal FiveM, and has to reset to that gamebuild every time it is loaded up, there is a guide on how to stop this here.
Q. WHY ONLY ONE SERVER?
A. Many scripts would need to be reworked in order for more than one server to work, this would take development time away from important things like increasing slots or adding new content.
Other operational issues would make more than one server undesirable too, i.e. Split faction presence, split staff presence, balance issues.
