==What is the National Police Air Service (NPAS)==

NPAS (National Police Air Service) is the unit within the entire [[Altis Police Service|Police Force]] which is dedicated to everything that has something to do with helicopters.

===The role of NPAS===

NPAS is mainly a support unit within the [[Altis Police Service|Altis Police Force]] where our primary task is to assist other units around the island of [[Altis]]. NPAS operates under a strict set of guidelines which have been put in place to ensure the safety of the pilots as well as the people of [[Altis]]. NPAS duties comprise of various tasks from transporting officers around the island, prisoner transportation, air support in operations to neutralizing hostile aircrafts.<br />

==Ranking Structure==

NPAS has its very own rank structure just like any other unit within the Police Force, these ranks are available for any member of NPAS who shows that they are capable to carry their weight.This means that not every member of NPAS has one of the ranks listed below as this is where their tier structure comes in place

==Tier Structure==

As mentioned above NPAS works with Tiers as well as ranks these tiers identify what kind of assets the pilot is allowed to use and what tests he or she can do to gain more assets like the [[Mi-290 Taru|Taru]],[[V-44X Blackfish|Blackfish]] and [[UH-80 Ghost Hawk|Ghosthawk]]. The tier structure goes up from tier 1 to tier 3 all of the tiers are listed below

|Tier 1 is the starting point of the Air Service as a fully fledged member of NPAS.

==Our Fleet==

Due to the major role the National Police Air Service has within the [[Altis Police Service]] an major fleet would be expected, listed below is the entire fleet of NPAS including its unmanned drone.

|This is our [[V-44X Blackfish|Blackfish]]. The [[V-44X Blackfish|Blackfish]] is only used in operations or coalition with specialized units. The main use would be the transport of units or [[vehicles]] due to its unique ability to para-drop large numbers of infantry or heavy vehicles. The [[V-44X Blackfish|Blackfish]] is also armed with a 35x zoom thermal camera operated by the co-pilot.

==Who can join NPAS?==

NPAS is a specialised unit, it is intended for those who have shown excellent handling abilities of a [[helicopter]] in a variety of different situations. Furthermore, all pilots are required to conduct a series of tests during the initial training as well as improving upon their skills and capabilities handling the entire arsenal of aircraft.

===NPAS Training===

The initial Non-NPAS [[WY-55 Hellcat|India-99]] training covers the basics for officers within the [[Altis Police Service|Altis Police Force]] who wishes to pursue a career within the highly respected air division; NPAS. Once the pilot is ready to further their training they will take the Entry Test. Only a few pilots have the required piloting skills to pass the entry test and begin their journey as an NPAS Pilot. The remaining training is confidential.
