What is the Specialist Protection Group
The Specialist Protection Group, different to other police units is a defensive unit opposed to an offensive unit. It is based on protection, prevention, security and peacekeeping. The aim of the SPG is to place units in areas of high crime to help be a deterrent to those who pose a threat. SPG is a training, therefore it doesn’t interfere with other specialised unit commitments.
The idea comes from combining all the major defence units within the UK and combining them into one force in accordance with RPUK and the Altis Police Service(APS).

How does the Specialist Protection Group work
The SPG works as a Specialist Operations unit working to provide specialist policing and a more territorial version of policing. (Formally in the APS a support/training unit) The SPG use special Metropolitan police tactics taken from the real London police. This includes convoy formations and special communications. Furthermore in SPG we value roleplay and expert police procedures.
