The AR-2 Darter or "Darter" is a lightweight Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) designed for reconnaissance and surveillance.

Design
Features
The Darter can be unpacked from a bag and assembled by the operator and connected through a UAV terminal. It generates vertical thrust from all four of its rotors in order to take off
Notable Traits
The Darter features a under mounted camera for its roles as a surveillance and reconnaissance asset. This camera provides 0.5x, 2.5x and 8.7x optical magnification.
Mobility
The small size and lightweight construction of the Darter enables the quadcopter to be very nimble, even able to operate inside some buildings when maneuvered precisely by a skilled operator.

Trivia
- The Darter appears to be based on the "AR.Drone Version 2.0" manufactured by Parrot SA.
- The former NPAS test for the Darter required you to fly in one door of the airport terminal building and out the door on the far side of the building in 30 seconds.
- It is the only vehicle you can store in your house due to it being able to be stored in a backpack.
