Standard Employee Structure

  • Emergency Care Assistant - Our newest employees are assigned as an ECA. This allows them time for training and allows them to learn whilst on the job.
  • Technician - Having shown understanding and knowledge, technicians are able to patrol unaccompanied.
  • Paramedic - If you have shown your competence you have gained this rank. You are one step closer to joining a unit should you want to. You can patrol on your own, keep going though, better stuff is still to come.
  • Specialist Paramedic - Able to become apart of a specialised Unit and are expected to help newcomers to the NHS get to grips.
  • Advanced Paramedic - More responsibility. A.PAR's are tasked with feedback's on lower ranks and helping other employees where possible.
  • Consultant Paramedic/Doctor - This person is the second in command of the unit. Any problems that you have involving the department should be directed towards this person. They will be able to help resolve any issues and raise any concerns up the chain of command for the unit.
  • Deputy Director - This is the head of the unit. This person will be involved in the running of their department/unit. Making sure that its staff are completing the jobs to an excellent standard, and will be in charge of maintaining a working environment for the branch
  • Director - This rank is the second in command for the entire NHS. Their duty is to make sure that the unit is running smoothly and helping where they can with administrative duties within the NHS. They will also be the moderators when it comes to teaching Consultant Paramedics on how to carry out an interview. They will also be involved dealing with disciplinary issues within the NHS.
  • Chief Executive Officer - The highest rank within the NHS. Ultimately the final decision will be made by this person. They will also be working closely with the Director to make sure the NHS is running like a well-oiled machine. Any disciplinaries will be conducted with this person. They have worked their way through the ranks from bottom to the top, so will also have a wealth of knowledge.
