Tempest

The Tempest was build with the intention of becoming the primary logistics transport vehicle used by both Mediterranean and Pacific CSAT forces.

however soon after the war the Vehicle started being used by the citizens of Altis.

Overview

The Tempest is a 6x6 mine resistant standard transport truck, Its primary role is to carry troops and cargo under armor.

Design

Introduced to supplement the Zamak family of trucks, the Tempest is a highly flexible, multi-purpose modular vehicle that supports different capabilities depending on the variant

Features

• There are a total of six variants of the Tempest.
• Unlike its soft-skinned counterpart (The Zamak), the layout of the cab and chassis are positioned so that the cab crew are at least protected from a limited amount of small arms fire.

Mobility

• The Tempest is somewhat inferior to its counterpart (The HEMTT) due in large part to its increased weight.
• The risk of rollovers while turning at high speeds is still minimal due to its heavy weight.
• It accelerates slowly both while on and off-road, though it does have a higher top speed compared to the HEMTT.

Crew Capacity

Each variant supports atleast a crew of at two that includes both the driver and a single passenger in the driver's cab.

Upgrades

All the variants of the Tempest supports the next op upgrades, these upgrades can be bought at the Mod Shop.

The Tempest Transport is the only truck that is able to be upgraded to a ARAC tow truck.

Models

Model	Note
Tempest Transport	Baseline variant. It has an extended, open-top cargo body fitted behind the cab that can transport up to twelve additional passengers.
Tempest Transport Covered	It is identical feature-wise to the baseline variant. The sole difference is that the cargo body section is covered with a tarpaulin that can hide troops from view (note that the tarpaulin does not provide ballistic protection).
Tempest Device	Unique variant that cannot transport any troops aside from the one passenger in the cab. Has an inactive "Eastwind" device fitted to the rear cargo body section, This allows the truck to automatically harves for you.
Tempest Ammo	Has an extended, open-top cargo body fitted behind the cab that carries ammunition crates.
Tempest Fuel	Has a large fuel tanker fitted to the rear of the cab. It can refuel nearby land vehicles and grounded aircraft. Contains the same amount of seats as the Repair variant.
Tempest repair	Has an extended cargo body compartment with spare parts, tools, and components.
